Placer Town is easily accessible by land and sea. Visitors can take a bus or van from Surigao City to Placer. It takes about 3 hours. Visitors can also take a ferry from Surigao City to Dapa on Siargao Island and from there take a van or tricycle to reach Placer.

HOW TO GET THERE

If you are coming from Manila or Cebu, you can fly to Surigao City,  the nearest airport to Placer. From Surigao City, you can take a van or bus to Placer,  about 70 kilometers away. Travel time by van or bus is usually around 1-2 hours, depending on traffic conditions. 

Alternatively, you can take a ferry or boat from Cebu or Manila to Surigao City. There are several ferry and boat companies that offer daily trips to Surigao City, including Cokaliong Shipping Lines, 2Go Travel, and OceanJet. As mentioned above, you can reach Placer by van or bus from Surigao City. 

If you are coming from other parts of Surigao del Norte or nearby provinces,  take a van or bus from the nearest bus or van terminal to Placer. Placer is accessible via the Surigao and Davao coastal roads. This road connects this city with other towns and cities in the region.  

For those who prefer to drive, Placer is approximately a 2-3 hour drive from Surigao City, depending on traffic conditions. You can rent a car from Surigao City or hire a private van or motorcycle to reach Placer.
