The Bagat Festival is an annual event held in the city of Sibagat, Agusan del Sur. It's his weeklong festival showcasing the city's culture, traditions, and way of life. The festival is held in honor of the city's patron saint, Saint Francis of Assisi, and is usually held in the first week of October. 

The name of the festival, 'Bhagat', comes from the Manobo language, which means 'rich harvest'. As such, the festival highlights the city's produce and features a spectacular parade of colorful floats decorated with fruits, vegetables, and other crops. 

There are also cultural performances, street dancing, and many other activities that showcase the city's unique identity.  The Bagat Festival is not only an agricultural celebration but also an opportunity to promote ecotourism in the region. HOW TO GET THERE


To get to Sibagat, Agusan del Sur, you can take a flight to Bancasi Airport in Butuan City, which is the nearest airport to Sibagat. From there, you can take a van or bus bound for Davao City or Tagum City, and get off at the town proper of Sibagat. Alternatively, you can take a bus or van from Davao City or Tagum City and ask to be dropped off at Sibagat. If you're coming from other parts of Mindanao, there are also bus companies that have routes to Sibagat.
