 House was converted into a museum showing the history and culture of the city and its inhabitants.  The museum houses a large collection of artifacts, antiques, and memorabilia that reflect the city`s rich cultural heritage.  In addition to exhibits, Balai Ni Nena also offers cultural shows and performances that showcase the city's traditional dances, songs, and rituals.

 Food and Delicacies 

 Nasipit is also known for its delicious food and delicacies. One of his must-eat dishes is "Nilarang na isda," (a sour soup made with fresh fish, ginger, and vegetables). It is a popular dish among locals and tourists alike and is best served with rice and a cold drink. 

Another popular delicacy of his is 'Kilawin'. A dish of raw fish and seafood marinated in vinegar, onions, and spices. A popular appetizer or snack served with a cold beer or soda. 
 

Festivals and Events 

Nasipit celebrates an annual festival on September 29th every year. This day is a special day for the city and its inhabitants as it honors its patron saint,  the Archangel Michael. Fiesta celebrations usually begin with Thanksgiving Mass, which is held the day before the actual Fiesta Day. 

This is an important part of the celebration as  St. Michael is grateful for his guidance and protection throughout the year. The fair is attended not only by citizens of the city but also by visitors and tourists who participate in the celebration.  On the days of the festival, a large parade takes place in the streets of the city. 

The parade is a colorful display of floats, costumes, and music attended by various organizations and groups from all over the city. Contestants showcase their creativity and talent through colorful costumes and performances. 

 After the parade, a variety of activities take place throughout the day, including sporting events, cultural shows, and beauty pageants. Organized by local government and various community organizations, these activities provide entertainment for both residents and visitors. One of the most important events during the festival is the coronation of the city's Festival Queen. 

Fiesta Queen is a young woman chosen to represent the city and its inhabitants during the celebration. She is usually selected through a beauty pageant held before the festival and plays an important role in the city's celebrations.

Araw ng Nasipit

Another popular festival is 'Araw ng Nasipit', which takes place on October 24th every year. The festival is a week-long celebration that includes various events and activities such as sports festivals, cultural shows, and fairs.

HOW TO GET THERE

Nasipit is a city in Agusan del Norte in the northeastern part of the island of Mindanao in the Philippines. There are several ways to get to Nasipit, depending on where you start. 
 

By Airplane: 
 The nearest major airport to Nasipit is  Butuan City Airport, approximately 28 kilometers away. There are daily flights from Manila and Cebu to Butuan,  from where you can take a taxi or van to Nasipit. 
 

By Land: 
 If you are coming from other parts of Mindanao, you can take a bus or van from nearby cities such as Surigao City or Davao City. There are several bus and van companies that operate routes between these towns and Nasipit.  
 

By Sea: 
There are also ferry services that run from Manila to Butuan City or Surigao City. From there you can take a van or bus to Nasipit. 

Once in Nasipit, you can take a tricycle or jeepney to get around the city. Tricycles are the main means of transportation in Nasipit and are available throughout the city. Jeepneys also operate in the city and can take you to nearby towns and cities.
