Tago is a vibrant coastal town in the province of Surigao del Sur in the Caraga region of the Philippines. Known for its beautiful beaches, abundant marine life, and friendly locals, Tago is a hidden gem not to be missed by visitors to Surigao del Sur. 

One of Tago's most popular attractions is  Cabgan Island. This beautiful island is home to white sandy beaches, crystal clear blue waters, and a wide variety of marine life. Visitors can snorkel and dive to see a wide variety of colorful fish, sea turtles, and coral reefs. The island is also perfect for beach picnics and relaxing in the sun. 


Another must-see in Tago is  Buhot Creek. This beautiful, pristine creek is surrounded by lush greenery and towering trees, creating an atmosphere of peace and quiet. Visitors can take a refreshing swim or enjoy a picnic in the creek.  

 For history buffs, there is a Tago 100th Anniversary Sign in Tago City to commemorate the city's centenary in 2004. A great place to take photos and learn about the city's rich history.  

 Visitors can also stroll around town and visit  St. Anna Parish Church. This beautiful church features stunning Spanish colonial architecture and religious artifacts. 

If you're a foodie, Tago offers a variety of local delicacies not to be missed. Try Budbod Kabog, a traditional dish made with ground millet and coconut milk, and Kinilaw, a dish of raw fish soaked in vinegar and spices.  When visiting Tago, it is important to respect the local people and their culture. Dress modestly and ask permission before taking photos of people or property. Also,  follow environmental guidelines to preserve the natural beauty of city attractions.
