By land, you can take a bus or a van from Butuan City, which is the nearest major city to Bacuag. The journey takes around 4 to 5 hours, depending on traffic and road conditions. Alternatively, you can take a van or a bus from Surigao City, which takes around 2 to 3 hours.

If you are coming from Cebu or Manila, you can also take a ferry to Surigao City, then take a van or a bus to Bacuag. Ferry trips are available from Cebu or Manila to Surigao City, with travel times ranging from 8 to 12 hours, depending on the ferry company and the route.
