Magsaysay, Misamis Oriental
Magsaysay is a Tier 4 municipality in Misamis East Province, Philippines. According to the 2020 census, Magsaysay was formerly known as Linugos. This town is "THE GATEWAY FROM THE CARAGA REGION TO REGION X.
The Municipality of Magsaysay, as it is organized here, has the following boundaries: leading up the creek to the point where it intersects the present-day Gingogue-Claveria boundary and northeast at Punta Diwata on the Mindanao Sea coast to the province.
This municipality of Magsaysay originally consisted of eight barangays. Linugos, formerly known as Magsaysay, was once a barrio of the Diocese of Gingoog, but on 1 July 1948, he was incorporated into the Diocese by Presidential Decree No. 128 promulgated by President Quirino.
