Visiting the Famous Yakan Village in Zamboanga

On our 2nd day here in Zamboanga City, we will tour the island part of tourist Asia's Latin City of the Philippines. Zamboanga City is the 6th most populous in the Philippines and the 2nd most populous in Mindanao after Davao City It has a population of over 977 thousand and is subdivided into 98 barangays, a day visit is not enough to explore this amazing city. 

Gitagum, Misamis Oriental

Gitagum is a fifth-class church in Misamis Oriental Province, Philippines. There are eleven barangays, four of which are urban areas due to their strategic location along the national highway and along Iligan Bay. Light commercial and industrial establishments are located in these barangays.  Built-up areas for Urban Purposes include only 2.5% of the total land area of ​​Gitagum used for residential purposes and close to the public market, commercial establishments, churches, schools, municipal gymnasiums, squares, and other government buildings of the municipality The Coastal Burnay and Pangayawan barangays are covered with mangroves which remain protected.

Gingoog is a second-class city in the Misamis Oriental province of the Philippines. Like other communities in the Philippines that have retained the Spanish spelling, the city's name is written as Gingoog but pronounced as HEE-Ngu-og, since it originated as the word binukid.  The term Gingoog originally comes from the word "hingoog" meaning "good luck" by a Lumad tribe. It was one of the oldest cities in the province of Misamis Oriental, predating the province's capital and economic center, Cagayan de Oro, which was founded in 1871.

The Municipality of Binuangan is a 6th-class municipality in the province of Misamis Oriental, Philippines. It has a population of 7,441 inhabitants according to the census 2020. The household population of Binuangan is broken down into 1,556 households or an average of 4. The municipality has a land area of 30. 43 square kilometers which constitute 0. 97% of Misamis Oriental's total area.

Balingoan, Misamis Oriental

Balingoan is a fifth-class municipality in the Misamis Oriental Province of the Philippines. As of the 2020 census, it has 1,020 residents. The municipality has a land area of 57.80 square kilometers or 22.32 square miles which constitutes 1.85% of Misamis Oriental's total area. Formerly part of Talisayan, it is gained independence on March 1, 1952. According to local legend, it derived its name from the word "John's Fishing Net" ( John's Fishing Net), which later became simply "Love you".
