Camp Sabros Highland Resorts and the Mount Apo

Nestled in the beautiful place called Kapatagan, Camp Sabros Highland Resorts has so much to offer; from great food, overwhelming views, and thrilling outdoor adventures such as zip line, vintage stuff, big bikes and horses, cabins, and picturesque surroundings. Packed and ready for your next trip going to Camp Sabros.

Camp Sabros Highland Resort is located in Barangay Kapatagan, a mountainous community in Digos City, province of Davao Del Sur in the Philippines. The climate in Kapatagan is tropically cool that's why lots of Highland resorts along the road are rising like mushrooms.

On the other hand, the community living in this mountainous part of Digos takes a good climate to well take advantage of their livelihood. In fact, most people living here mostly engage in farming producing lots of kinds of quality vegetables

This journey begins in Davao City, the home of the King fruit - Durian. Getting to Camp Sabros was not easy as pie that's why we decided to travel by private car. From downtown Davao, we travel south going to Digos City for more or less one-and-a-half-hour ride traversing 62 kilometers of AH26 Pan-Philippine highway via Davao - Cotabato Rd. We just drop at MERS to buy something to eat for another one-hour ride going uphill Kapatagan. The road is paved and winding as expected.

At the entrance

When we got there, the entrance personnel arranged for every visitor's car to come and go and communicated with their radio. The main entrance was located at the very top. We patiently wait for our turn to ride up to the site. We arrive at past four in the afternoon, as we expect great tropical cool weather, paying the entrance for 100 pesos for each adult and 60 pesos for children.

The staff managing several activities was setting to get home. We were kind of disappointed because they didn't accommodate us with the Ziplines, but they said something about it not being safe if it's that late, then it's ok. We just took pictures. Spent the night for dinner and to enjoy the climate but not for an overnight stay. It is safe to travel going to the main city? Well yes, but needs to get slow due to fogging.

Food is quite pricey as expected but visitors allow to bring their own food and have the option to eat in the van or the tables spread everywhere in the camp which is the best place to enjoy a bonfire at night.

Relaxing place to unwind

Like many others, the place is truly relaxing. Bring your jacket if you get cold easily. Enjoy varieties of activities like horseback riding, zipline, and cable car facilities at very convenient prices. There's also a nice place where a lot of vintage memorabilia which is great for picture-taking. Amazing place and it's truly worthy of your time.
