A Journey to the Majestic Asik-Asik Falls in North Cotabato

Later long weeks of loaded work, it's time now to get back to North Cotabato from the dashing megacity of Marawi in Lanao Del Sur as we intend to stay then during the weekend. Early morning, we packed our things to take the 196 kilometers route covering the Iligan City – Talakag – Wao route to reach the city of Alamada where the Asik Asik Falls is located.

Breakfast at Kambingan ni Banday

On our trip from Iligan City, we passed through colorful municipalities in Misamis Oriental until we saw an eatery along the public road between Alubihid City and El Salvador, so we decided to have breakfast first. This eatery is popular as they served authentic succulent dishes from scapegoat’s meat and corridor and came to a hotspot for our Muslim musketeers because they also served Halal food. To satisfy, we ordered goatmeat adobo, Kaldereta, Sinigang ng Kambing, and Kilawin. Worth the delay! Yum- Yum!

On the road going to Wao Town

We're now in a full tank and able to reach our destination. Baking on the road, we passed through Cagayan de Oro City, the small city of Talakag, and now Wao city. Passing the main city of Wao, we take a short layover to have coffee since we formerly spend further than 3 hours on the road so that the motorist could have a quick stretch and rest also.

Still, we ended up in a small cube dealing Balut and Banana cue beside the ground, near the military checkpoint. We feel safe in them as we belt the hot haze from Balut outside! Each of us takes down three eggs with a small duck outside and is now ready for another 2 hours ride way to North Cotabato fiefdom entering the city of Banisilan. And, Alamada is the coming city.

Almada city has a growing number of sightseer spots because of its tropical cool rainfall and the astonishing geography of mountains and hills. One of the most visited places then's the Rangayen where colorful resorts appeared like mushrooms currently. So, we snappily stop and have a quick shot in some areas in Havens Peak before heading to our target destination, of course, Asik Asik falls can not be gotten out of the limelight since this came to the Iconic spot of Alamada city.

Road to Asik Asik Falls

Reaching Asik Asik Falls isn't delicate since several road signs are installed on the National Road. We turn right going to barangay Dado covering Dado – Dulao Road for lower than 30- twinkles going to the main entrance.

In noontime when we arrived at the point, so we decided to first have our lunch at the small canteen. At this time, we ordered Pastil, a coliseum of plain rice with a ground funk beating wrapped with a banana splint. This is generally notorious for Muslim food and fund food which is generally brought during trips or indeed a food choice by scholars because of the cheap price but full of satisfaction. However, just try it when you’re visiting the islet of Mindanao If you're too curious.

The Waterfalls

Contrary to anticipation, going to the falls is as easy as pie as we walk sluggishly to the slowest upwardly as we passed the 367 way; challenging with lots of stops to do indeed though the road is well installed. But I can tell you this, all your hard work will be paid out formerly reach the bottom of the cascade.
