Things you need to know before visiting Dahican | Mati City

Dahican coastline is seven kilometers stretch representing its fine sand, crescent shape beach line girded with coconut trees where you can spend your full vacation. Located in Barangay Dahican, in Mati City, Davao Oriental in the Philippines, Dahican Beach is known for beautiful beaches, turtle sanctuaries, skimboarders, surfers, and beach lovers. Beach resorts in front of the coastlines offer affordable accommodations either for small or large groups.

Love surfing? Dahican is famous as a surfing destination in Davao Region.  Good waves catch up between the months of October up to March. Should meet the sons of fishermen called “the Amihan boys” truly have reputations in the field of Surfing and Skimboarding. For non-surfers, fine waves await you at Masao Beach lines.

Dahican Beach can compare to Boracay with regards to its coastal stretch and finned white, silky sand. Walking barefoot is fun while playing outdoor activities gives more excitement. Camping is allowed in some areas like in Menzi Beach Resorts where you can enjoy overnight at the tent. If you are a foreigner, I encourage you to mingle with locals so you could experience Davao cultures.

HOW TO GET THERE
Mati City is an almost four (4) hour commuter ride from Davao City with a very accessible and convenient source of transportations. If you are outside from Davao Region, Airline flights are the easiest way to reach Davao City. Flights available from Clark, Pampanga, Manila, Cebu, Cagayan De Oro, Zamboanga City, and Siargao go to Davao City.

For commuters, Bus stop is available beside Airport Exit in front of Jose Maria College or ride a taxi going to the Ecoland Transport Terminal. Then, catch up BUS (Bachelor Express) going to Mati City, Cateel or Boston passed through from one (1) o’clock in the morning until. Bus fare ranging P250 to P320 pesos depends on the Class of Bus you are in.

I recommend you to not sleep while on travel; Sleeping Dinosaur awaits stunning views while approaching the zigzag roads in barangay Badas.  At Mati City Bus terminal, hire a single motorcycle (habal-habal) or tricycle to take you to Dahican or resorts where you booked. The driver normally asks for a P50 pesos fare for a twenty (20) to thirty (30) minute ride.
