Tiklas Falls, Gingoog

Misamis Oriental has a lot of potential in terms of vacation destination especially the beauty of natural surroundings in it. Gingoog City is the oldest city or known as "the City of Good Luck" awaits you to visit the magnificent Tiklas Falls located in Barangay Lawit. This fall was managed and maintained by City Government as one of the Eco-tourism Park in the City.  Gingoog City is situated 74 kilometers distance from Butuan City and 122 kilometers East of Cagayan de Oro City.

This Eco-tourism Park is surrounded by different species of plants and flora that makes very relaxing feels a natural air conditioning welcomed to your arrival. The place has a lot of posters reminding visitors to be responsible for their waste using proper disposal. The entrance is very cheap but available a food stall inside the Park so I suggest bringing your own food and drink. As reminders, the Park is strictly imposing a "No Littering" policy.

You will be passed a mixed concrete-steel bridge before you reach the edge of the falls, then, stop at the center and take your best shot at the amazing view of the falls. The Park also has a swimming pool and Cottages available in the Falls area but no available room accommodation in the Area. I personally suggest to the City government to pay attention to the full maintenance and get more Eco-tourism development/Activities for its future potential that generates more employment to the community.
