The historic Pusan Point - Caraga, Davao Oriental

 Pusan Point is a 15 minutes ride from National Highway with about a 9-kilometer distance from its point. Located in Brgy. Santiago, Caraga, Davao Oriental; almost a two-hour drive from the Capital City of Mati. Pusan Point was once recorded in world history catching the perfect glimpse of  “First Millennium Sunrise” in the year 2000.


The Provincial Government and the Department of Tourism inaugurated the Pusan Point Eco Park and Science discovery in the year 2016. This historic place became one of the major tourist attractions in the East Coast Province of Davao Oriental. This eco-park built a Science Discovery Center that features Educational activities and Astronomical insights for visitors. Inside has Planetarium, a Galaxy Walk, Astronomy, Technology, Chemistry, Energy, and many more

The Pusan Point Eco-Park features two (2) old lighthouses, a Jubilee cross, a Meditation kiosk, Amphitheater, a swimming pool, a jogging lane, and a resting area. The park also allowed Camping for those who want to spend their nights watching the next day's sunrise. A 16th foot Jubilee cross builds on the top of the cliff where water slams on its limestones. Huge waves splash often reaches the top from September to December.  





HOW TO GET THERE:
You can hire a van from Davao City, Tagum City or Butuan City going to Caraga Town directly to Pusan Point.

  • Major Airlines flights daily bound for Davao (Bangoy) International Airport
  • Walk or ride a taxi to Jose Maria College Bus stop (beside Airport)
  • Catch up a Bus or Van  bound for Mati or Cateel (3 hours travel) 
  • Stopover at Mati City Terminal
  • From Mati City, Bus / Van will travel to Cateel
  • Drop off to Santiago (reach before Caraga town) (1-2 hours travel time)
  • Ride Single motor (Habal Habal) going to Pusan Point

    • Catch up Bus from Davao City at Butuan Bus Terminal
    • Stop at Tagum City Terminal
    • Stopover at Mati City Terminal
