Borobudur Temple in Jogja Region, the 7 Wonders of the Ancient World?

Borobudur is a 7th-century Buddhist temple compound located in the lush green forest of Kecamatan Borobudur, Magelang, Central Java, Indonesia.  It was and the largest Buddhist temple in the world built in the 8th and 9th AD during the reign of the Sailendra Dynasty.

I was given a break to visit one of the most celebrated temples in the world in 2018 - The Borobudur Buddhist temple; one of the so-called 7 Wonders of the Ancient World. One weekend, my itinerary is to explore the astonishing attraction in Yogyakarta known not only in Indonesia but also in the world.

Early morning, we went to the king's palace - the Kraton Ngayogyakarta Hadiningrat. Yogyakarta is an autonomous region led by the king and this palace is the place where the king actually lived. Inside the palace alloy, a variety of galleries can be explored, traditional conditioning and acting shows depicting the history of the province

The Second itinerary is to visit the Prambanan temple in Sleman regency; just a less than an hour lift from the King's palace. This temple compound is assembled in 8th-century and declared as a UNESCO heritage emplacement believed to be the largest temple compound in Indonesia and jury in the aggregate of southeast Asia.

After lunch all were set, ready to travel for the last planner, the Borobudur Temple. The sky seems to be sympathetic, the rain is about to pour down, this cannot be trammel the plan. We either reserved a Grab to head to Borobudur; trip time estimated less than an hour for rental vehicle, paying 180 thousand rupiahs ($13). Notwithstanding, you can take a public bus or minibus for $1 to $6 fare from Yogyakarta.

At the entrance, the indigenous and international tourists are separated; the local indigenous cost is 75,000 rupiahs ($5) while the international tourist will charge $25. The drone isn’t allowed out, so we left it at the reception.  Borobudur Temple compound is also a venue for monthly events like festivities, rituals, and more. In this visit, the Umbrella fest was witnessed.

At the first look, its sheer size is emphatic as we get near to the temple. The temple has three genera with a pyramidical with various decks and a monumental stupa at the top. During World War II, Java Island is devastated by that heartbreaking incident Borobudur temple was fully destroyed. In the period 1970s, the government starts the restorations of the devastated temple compound with UNESCO's help. Borobudur Temple Compound, truly, as one of the greatest Buddhist monuments in the world
