The mystic beauty of Katibawasan Falls, Camiguin

To complete the day in Camiguin, we headed back to the center of Mambajao and take an opportunity to visit the Katibawasan Falls. Then, take another five-kilometer route with a slight elevation going through Mt. Timpoong. This trip was part of my bucket list in completion of the three waterfalls exploration in the Island of Camiguin and I was very fortunate to be here. My curiosity got activated due to numerous locals told me that this waterfall has the most scenic vicinity, feels like in fantasy series but thinking to have little exaggeration.

Upon arrival, the sound of swiftly flowing water heard at the entrance seems like attracting me to dip into the freezing water. The place is developed as Park by the local government with the goal of providing livelihood to the local communities and boosting sustainable eco-tourism; very efficient without sacrificing the natural beauty of the environment. A tangible trail for walk embellish with flowers as the road is getting deeper towards the falls viewpoint.

Katibawasan Falls stands 250 feet tall, with the amazing appearance of water flowing from the entrance plunge to the 70 meters natural pool alike. The rock formations are incredible as expected while the orchids, wild ferns, trees and flora, and fauna made an eye-catching background of the surrounding.  The pool alike streaming with the icy water is so refreshing, a perfect antidote for those who want to get over from the city strains.  No wonder why every tourist frightens of the mystical beauty of Katibwasan Falls, it is truly a wonder of Camiguin.

Camiguin is an Island province in Northern Mindanao, located in between Bohol Province (Bohol Sea), Misamis Oriental and Lanao Del Norte. Also known as the Island Born of Fire where the Mt. Hibok Hibok is the active volcano. Camiguin is a perfect island to visit in short holidays and the best place to recharge.
