Davao City | A Prayer Mountain to Light Up on Chinese New year

A Prayer Mountain turned into the Christmas village is set to open on the 2019 Chinese New Year celebration. To light up the Village, over 610,000 LED lights were installed in the mansions, in 65 pine trees, surrounding gardens, and to the 87-foot living pine tree that encompasses 220,000 LED lights alone. The Christmas Village was opened to the public for the first time last November 25, 2018, attended by thousands of people, and can be visited until January 15, 2019. Meanwhile, the management announced that the village will be open during the Chinese New year.     
Enjoy a variety of food from western cuisine to local street foods while listening to live music. Exiting night experiences where events like the parade of the fairies and Live Christmas toy characters parade and more. Witness the highlight of the 3D mapping display at the pink Mansion, which starts at 7:30pm and 8:30 in the evening. The climate condition in Tamayong is cool, especially at night; rain is unpredictable, bring an umbrella especially to those who visit with kids. 










NOTES
It is advised that before going there needs an early pre-booking, you may reach them through their Facebook page, Christmas Village Davao. They both accept online and cash payment; the ticket is non-refundable but you can reschedule it a week on your original booking date, but it is subject to the availability of the slot.

5 years old and below:      FREE
6-12 years old:                   P150 pesos
13-year-old and above:      P350 pesos
60-64 years old:                 P350 pesos with a 20% discount
65 and above:                    FREE

HOW TO GET THERE
Daily flight way to Davao City is very accessible from a major airport in the Philippines
(from Luzon: Manila (NAIA 2), Clark, Palawan) ( from Visayas: Cebu (Mactan), Ilo-Ilo, Bohol
(Mindanao: Zamboanga, Cagayan De Oro, Siargao). At Davao City Airport, ride a taxi going to Davao Ecoland Terminal, then, catch up a Bus bound for Bukidnon or Cagayan de Oro. Get-off to Calinan (Centro). From there, hire a motorcycle (habal-habal) to reach the Prayer Mountain. 
You can also hire a taxi or van from the airport or van to take you directly to Prayer Mountain.

From General Santos City
From Bulaong Terminal, a non-stop Bus (yellow bus) will take to you a comfortable three-hour ride bound for Davao City.  Get off to Ulas, Davao City then take a jeep, van, or bus ride passing Calinan. Get off to Calinan Market. Hire a Motorcycle (habal-habal) to reach the Prayer mountain compound.

From Cagayan De Oro City / Bukidnon
Airline flight available on a scheduled basis going to Davao City. For land travel, take Sayre highway/ Davao-Buda National highway/Davao-Bukidnon highway to reach Calinan for about a seven-hour commuter ride from Bulaong Terminal (CDO) or 5 hours using a private vehicle.
